'FRIENDS' Actor James Michael Tyler Dies At 59 After Diagnosing Cancer


Sad news came from actor James Michael Tyler. The actor who is best known for his role as Gunther in the sitcom FRIENDS died (24/10) after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

As reported by www.independent.ie, Tyler had revealed that he had suffered from prostate cancer. Tyler was diagnosed with an advanced stage of the disease in 2018. Unfortunately, the disease did not go away until it eventually spread to his bones, making it difficult for him to walk. His representatives explained that Tyler died at his Los Angeles home on Sunday.

In a statement announcing his death, Tyler's representative said, "The world knows him as Gunther, from the hit series FRIENDS, but those who love Michael know him as an actor, musician, cancer awareness advocate, and a loving husband. Michael loves live music, cheers. -cheers at the Clemson Tigers. (The American Football Team), and often finds himself on fun and unplanned adventures. In 2021 Tyler gave a performance of Stephen Kalinich's poem If You Knew which was eventually adapted into a short video to raise awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. In his absence, Tyler left his beloved wife Jennifer Carno.
