Shoots Dead 4 People, Gunman Kills Police Dramatically
PERMATA POSTS Kind, WASHINGTON - A gunman shoots dead four people and injures three others, including a police officer, in Denver, United States (US). The action ended after the police killed the man at the scene of the attack.
The shooting began at around 5pm on Monday (12/27/2021) when the gunman, who has not been named publicly, shot and killed two women and injured a man near downtown Denver, United States (US).
The suspect then fled in a car and shot dead a man in the Cheesman Park neighborhood of east Denver, before opening fire again in the west Denver community where no one was hit.
The local police chief, Paul Pazen, said the suspect twice exchanged fire from his vehicle with Denver police officers chasing him. The suspect even managed to immobilize a police car.
The suspect then drove to a neighboring town; Lakewood, where he shot and killed a fourth person. The death of the fourth victim has been confirmed by a spokesman for Lakewood Police, John Romero, as quoted by Reuters on Tuesday (12/28/2021).
The gunman fled Lakewood police when they tried to pull him from the car and engaged in a shootout with officers before fleeing on foot.
According to Romero, the suspect entered a hotel, where he shot and injured an officer.
He then shot another police officer, wounding one of them, before a policeman shot him dead.
The condition of the police officers and residents who were injured is not yet known.
