7 Years of King Salman Ascension to the Throne, Saudi Arabian People Celebrate the Oath of Allegiance

RIYADH - The people of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (9/11/2021) celebrated Bay'ah or the oath of allegiance to King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud on the seventh anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
Bay'ah is an Islamic oath of allegiance to a leader.
"The seventh anniversary of the oath of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques [King Salman] is coming, and our Kingdom is blessed with achievements both internally and externally," Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said ahead of the celebrations.
"May God protect this country and its leadership, and grant him the blessings of security, stability and prosperity," continued Prince Faisal, quoted by Al Arabiya, Tuesday (9/11/2021).
Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud ascended the throne to become King of Saudi Arabia on January 23, 2015 or 3 Rabiul Tsani 1436 H in the Hijri calendar calendar. This year, 3 Rabiul Tsani 1443 falls on Tuesday (9/11/2021).
Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and member of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir, said: “The seventh anniversary of the oath of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, comes as our country achieves great success in all areas. field."
"The Kingdom enjoys an honorable international standing, contributes to strengthening international peace and security... and opens up prospects for a bright future with determination and confidence," he added.
Many Saudis use social media to celebrate the anniversary of the oath of allegiance to King Salman.
"We are all proud of our country's prosperity and progress in all areas and its leadership in investment and economy with an ambitious vision of leadership and nation," one Twitter user said.
